Vanuatu Captive Insurance is a company started by Bob Sanders of Vanuatu Insurance Brokers and Dean Spense after noticing a change in the risk appetite from insurers together with reinsurers around the globe.
Together Dean and Bob identified the requirement for an alternative solution to the traditional insurance market. Larger companies were looking at methods to consider gaining more control over their insurance and risk management program. It was with this in mind that Vanuatu Captive Insurance Services Ltd was created.

Commencing his insurance career over 40 years ago, Dean has pursued insurance with passion, drive, integrity and intelligence. Sighting an alternative solution for clients he has now teamed with Bob Sanders in creating Vanuatu Captive Insurance Services Ltd.

Bob has been an innovator of insurance products and services in New Zealand and Vanuatu for over 40 years. His level of expertise and understanding of insurance and business is second to none. He has held many senior and executive positions with multi-national insurance brokering firms and creates solutions when others are wondering what has happened.

Although we are registered captive insurance managers under the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu legislation, we have the ability to create and licence captive entities in other domiciles and countries. Discussions in the past, have highlighted a preference for countries focusing on more advantageous conditions for the captive, or proximity to markets the clients work within.
